I’m a communications consultant, author, and educator who believes that the way we communicate shapes the kind of relationships and communities we build.
My work sits at the intersection of storytelling and inclusion. I partner with organizations that want their communications to reflect their values — not just in what they say, but in how they say it. Whether I’m developing content or facilitating training, my goal is the same: to support communication that is thoughtful, ethical, and grounded in respect.
Over the past two decades, I’ve worked across consulting and federal public service. That range of experience has given me a deep appreciation for how complex organizations function and how important clear, human communication is inside those systems. I’ve seen how good communication can build trust and momentum, and how careful listening can open space for meaningful change.
As a writer, I’ve authored books and award-winning essays. Writing is central to how I think and work. It teaches patience, curiosity, and the importance of choosing words with care. Those values carry into my consulting practice, where I help organizations tell their stories in ways that are accurate, respectful, and aligned with their purpose.
Education is another core part of my work. I design and deliver training that supports Indigenous inclusion and ethical storytelling in professional environments. My approach is practical and collaborative. I create spaces where people can ask questions, reflect honestly, and leave with tools they can use in their everyday work.
I’m currently completing a Master’s in Communications Research for Social Change. My academic work explores how communication influences systems and relationships, and it continually informs my consulting practice. Research keeps me attentive to nuance and complexity, while my work with clients ensures that my thinking stays grounded in real-world needs.
I see my role as a partner and collaborator, not just a service provider. At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: communication is relational and we are all connected. With good communication we are connected more deeply. It’s about how we show up for one another, how we share knowledge, and how we create understanding across difference. When organizations communicate with intention and integrity, they create stronger connections with the people and communities they serve.
If that’s the kind of work you’re interested in doing, I’d be glad to connect.
